MOON

Tend To Your Vibes To-Do List

If you have read my book, Tend To Your Vibration, then you will have learned that setting time aside to tend to yourself regularly can give you a level of freedom that you have never felt before.

With my kids back in school, I have been playing around with a semi-daily to-do list that I made for myself and I thought you might enjoy using it too.

I say “semi-daily” because each personality is different. You might like this daily, weekly, monthly, or randomly. Whichever one suits you, I hope you enjoy this list and guide below!

How to Use Your To-Do List:

  • Date: Add the date here (this takes the pressure off of having to do this every day if that is not your jam)
  • Moon Phases: Check in on what phase the moon is and write it in this space. Bonus: Check the Living by the Light of the Moon Lesson in my Tend To Your Vibration to help you create rituals or actions to do during each phase) or use this blog post as a guide: How To Connect to the Moon Phases.
  • Check Boxes: Breathing, Exercise, Meditation, and Vision Board are 4 things I recommend doing as much as possible.
    • Breathing: You can find breathing exercises in Tend To Your Vibration and also on my blog here: https://www.kerryburki.com/category/breathing-techniques/
    • Exercise: Any type of movement that makes you feel good like dancing, yoga, or a walk can count as exercise.
    • Meditation: You can practice your fave form of meditation, or sit for a few minutes after breathing as your meditation, or listen to the ones I have added to the bonus section online of my book, listen to these on my blog: https://www.kerryburki.com/category/meditation/
    • Vision Board: Spend a few moments in front of your vision board on a regular basis feeling like all of it has come true. Use the lessons in the Working with Your Thoughts section of my book, Tend To Your Vibration to help you manifest it into life. Don’t have a vision board? Here are some tips: https://www.kerryburki.com/?s=vision+board
  • Water: Did you know that you are supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day? I added the average of 8 glasses here even though I personally have to drink more. (Let me know if you want a version of this with more glasses). You can cross the glasses off or color them in with a blue colored pencil. Such a fun way to keep track of water consumption. Drinking water will help you in every area of your life. I promise!
  • Crystal: Pick a crystal to work with either daily or for a bit of time. You can write down the crystal in this space. I like to either pick one I am drawn to or pick one based on the energy associated with it. You can find out more in my book and also in this post: Pick and Crystal – Mini Reading.
  • Intuitive Hints and Synchronicities: If you start doing this work on a regular basis, then you will start to see evidence of your dreams coming true and receiving guidance in your daily life. It is so important to record these moments as proof that your efforts are working and to keep your vibration at a level that keeps manifesting more of what you want. I also carry a little notebook around to write these down on the fly. This is inspired by most of my book but especially the Have Fun & Draw In lesson.
  • Card Pull: I love pulling a card a day after asking “What do I need to know right now?” You can do this at the beginning of the day and reflect back later or do it at the end of the day and notice what comes up. You can also use the printable oracle cards from the online bonus section of my book. They will give you guidance on which lessons might have to most impact on your life right now.
  • I am grateful for: Lastly, it feels so good to express what you are grateful for on a regular basis. Bonus: What to really feel good? After you write what you are grateful for add “because” and then finish the sentence. This amps up the feeling of gratitude which makes your life that much more enjoyable.

Whew! I promise it won’t take you as long to fill this out as it did to read all of this. Lol! I hope you enjoy bringing this activity into your life.

Enjoy!

Affirmation For The Waning Moon

Perfect affirmation for the waning moon! 🌘

Did you know that your thoughts create feelings that are felt as emotions in your heart? And those emotions create a vibrational frequency that the universe matches?

Yep!

So when you catch yourself saying negative things about yourself like:

  • “I’m so flakey.”
  • “I’ll never be organized enough to ___________.”
  • “If I could just be more like __________.”
  • “I always make bad decisions.”
  • “I have no idea what I’m doing and feel so lost.”

Catch yourself and say this affirmation.

“I release thoughts that no longer serve me.”

Bonus tip: Try to turn that negative thought into a positive one or at least a positive-ish one.

  • “I get so excited about all of the possibilities around me.”
  • “Small steps every day help me reach my goals.”
  • “I’m a unique individual and my energy draws in the perfect people and situations.”
  • “I used to make bad decisions all of the time but not anymore.”
  • “Something wonderful is going to happen and I’ll be on the right path.”

Enjoy this new energy and all of the wonderful, magical things that will follow!

Now I know changing your thoughts has been harder this year and I want you to know that I have been right there with you.

I’ve struggled and gone in downward spirals many times over these last many months.

This practice helps more than anything! You don’t need crystals or tarot cards (I love them though!). You need an ally in your mind.

You got this, free spirit!

3 Ways to Celebrate the Harvest Full Moon

The Harvest Full Moon is one of my favorite Full Moons of the year!

It reminds us to take notice of what we have harvested through our thoughts, words and actions.

It reminds us to rejoice where we are happy and make changes where we are lacking.

Here are some ways to celebrate the Harvest Full Moon:

1. Shift Your Altar To Autumn:

Gather some autumn related supplies to place on your altar. If you like, you can clear off your whole altar and start fresh. Otherwise, move your altar items around to accomodate your autumn-themed peices.

Some examples would be:

  • Changing the candles to orange, black, or brown
  • Adding small pumpkins and gourds
  • Placing crystals that are red, orange, yellow, and brown.
  • Adding scented candles or grounding essential oils to your diffuser like Cedarwood or Pumpkin Spice.
  • Burning incense like Sandalwood or one with an autumn scent.
  • You might also like to add fallen leaves,
  • Images of fall leaves or pumpkins and possibly ceramic or stuffed squirrels or foxes.

Have fun with this!

You want this to be a place you will sit in front of and feel connected to the season. A place where you feel you can plant seeds and harvest a life you love!

2. Watch The Moon Rise

Every year when this moon rises it is always so huge and orange. I remember when I was in high school watching it rise in a cemetery and just being blown away.

Go to https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/ and plug in your location to discover the moonrise time.

Then find a place where you can see it come over the horizon. Here is Arizona it is always wonderful to watch it rise over the mountains.

When it is first rising is when it is at it’s biggest and brightest.

3. Harvest Full Moon Ritual

Find a cozy spot with some spiced apple cider or pumpkin beer to do this Harvest Full Moon Ritual.

You will need:

Supplies:

  • Journal and pen

Optional:

  • Stones – pyrite, carnelian, or citrine
  • Incense – Sandalwood or a fall-scented variety
  • Candle – white, orange, yellow, or gold

***If you don’t have any of the above, improvise and gather supplies that make you think of fall.

These can all be done on the day of the Harvest Full Moon or during the 2 or 3 before and after.

Pisces Full Moon Ritual

Next Tuesday, September 1st is a Full Moon in Pisces.

This is a time for celebration and gratitude.

Below is a ritual from my Free Spirit Guidebook.

Full Moon Ritual:

  • Find time on the night of the full moon or the 3 days before or after to do yoga poses, breathing exercises, say affirmations, or light candles.
  • Express gratitude for your life and your intention or project at this time.
  • Take note of any manifestations or guidance that have shown up so far and celebrate.
  • Possibly journal about thoughts, emotions, or ideas to help you get even more guidance.

This is powerful!

How to add some Pisces flair:

Pisces is a water sign and is associated with fish. The energies associated with Pisces are idealistic, artistic, dreamer, imaginative, self-delusion, compassion, healer, and family.

Which one do you need to tap into during your ritual?

  • You can do fish pose or moon salutations.
  • Go sit by or on a body of water.
  • Practice Lunar Breath (left nostril breathing).
  • Leave drinking water out in a jar to be filled with lunar energy to drink during the rest of the moon cycle.
  • Surround yourself with crystals associated with Pisces like green aventurine, sodalite, and aquamarine.
  • Fill a bowl with water and gaze at the reflection of the full moon in the water as a meditation. Notice what thoughts and intuitive hints pop up.

Play around with it and make it your own. You can use all of the lessons in my Free Spirit Guidebook to create your own rituals.

I’ll add this to my blog and social media in case you lose this email.

Enjoy taking this time for yourself on the full moon!

New Moon in Leo Ritual

Below is a ritual that you can do for any new moon. Before we get to that, I am sharing tips to make this special to the New Moon in Leo. Leo is a fire sign and is associated with the lion.

In my book, Tend To Your Vibration, I share that the energies associated with lions are powerful, strength, personal power, assertiveness, domination, regal, and king-like.

Which one do you need to tap into over the next moon cycle?

For me, it is personal power.

If you have essential oils, then pick one based on the energy you want to tap into. I might pick Cedarwood or Frankincense. Or pick it based on the color of the bottle!

Grab stones that remind you of the fiery energy of Leo, like citrine, red jasper, tigers eye, or carnelian.

Gather your supplies and find a quiet place to sit.

Ritual:

  • Place your stones on your altar, in front of you, or around you. (Cleanse them before if needed.)
  • Tune in with your breath. Deep breaths or Lunar Breath (left-nostril breathing) for 1 to 3 minutes. You could do Solar Breath to tap into Leo’s fiery energy also – here is a post about how to do each breath.
  • (Optional) If you have a ritual or taper candle, you can anoint the candle by rubbing your essential oil on the outside. Keep the energy you chose in your mind as you do this. No candle? You can simply diffuse or inhale the scent during the ritual.
  • Light your candle with your word, energy, or intention in mind.
  • Write down the energy you want to bring in or your intention for the next lunar cycle.
  • Hold your cards in front of your heart and ask God/Universe/Spirit and your guides to help show you how you can embody or manifest this in your life.
  • Shuffle and pull a card.
  • Journal about the message you receive.
  • Gaze at the candle flame and let your mind relax. Know that as the candle burns your intention goes from the physical world into the spirit world to be manifested back in the physical world in the future.
  • Then close your eyes and see if any more intuitive guidance shows up.
  • Write down any actions you can take to make your intention a reality.
  • Pick a stone and empower it with your intention. Hold it in your hand and imagine it being filled with white light then say your intention.
  • Close out your ritual by returning to your breath.
  • Give thanks to God/Universe/Spirit, your guides, and yourself.
  • Blow your candle out. (Light it during the next moon cycle to tap into your intention or again on the Full Moon.)
  • Carry your stone with you or place it somewhere special to remind you of the energy you are shifting.

You can check in daily with your intention or simply during the waxing phase, the full moon, and the waning phase.

Play around with it and make it your own. You can use all of the lessons in Tend To Your Vibration to create your own rituals.

Enjoy taking this time for yourself on the new moon!
