How To Clear Your Aura – a mini-yoga sequence

Did you know that there is an energy field around your body called your aura? Have you ever wondered how to clear your aura? Today I am sharing a mini-yoga sequence that will do just that!

I started doing this sequence midday to help move my body and feel like I was releasing stress and other people’s energy that I had picked up.

Now I use it a few times a day and imagine that it clears my aura with each movement.

Do you ever feel cruddy, off, annoyed, or upset out of nowhere and wonder why?

A lot of times it can come from things that you did like going on social media or a phone call that triggers something or stirs something up you haven’t felt in a while.

Another reason this happens is that you pick up energy from other people like negativity, anxiety, or sadness.

If this sounds familiar, I want you to picture yourself walking around with a white bubble of an aura around you during the day. What do you think that looks like at the end of a day like this?

I imagine that it is all stuck in my aura, making me feel yucky, and I need to get rid of it before I let it get me down or before I go to bed.

This sequence is great at any time of day. Imagine the movements clear the energetic space around you. Afterward, imagine a shiny, sparkly, white aura all around you filled with love and positivity.

Enjoy!

Plus, moving your body this way helps release tension and tightness that you carry in your body so you should feel lighter and more relaxed after too.

p.s. Watch it all the way through the first time and then when you want to do it in the future fast-forward to the 2:25 mark.

The Secret to Less Fatigue & a Calm Mind

Ahh…doesn’t less fatigue and a calm mind sound like heaven?

You probably already have some tips and tricks that you like to use and I am adding one more to your toolbox. Or possibly just a longer version.

Drumroll, please….

It’s SAVASANA!!!

“The stresses of modern civilization are a strain on the nerves for which Savasana is the best antidote.” – B.K.S. Iyengar

For those of you that are not yogis, this is the relaxation practice traditionally done a the end of a yoga class.

It is also great to do at the end of the day, after a run or gym class, or simply when you are feeling stressed.

I created a Savasana video so you can experience the full 9 to 10 minutes of relaxation anytime.

The first one is a bit of an introduction about what I am writing here and the second one is the full relaxation. So go get your blankets!

Remember, it is harder to calm the mind than it is to relax the body so this is considered one of the most challenging poses in yoga.

The reason it is worth doing is that “this conscious relaxation invigorates and refreshes both the body and the mind.”

I have been teaching yoga for about 14 years and have seen the length of time spent in savasana decline over the years.

In the famous yoga text by B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Yoga, it is suggested to do 10 to 15 minutes after asana (physical poses) and 5 to 10 minutes after pranayama (breathing exercises).

Intrigued? Go relax your way into the weekend!

Gentle Yoga for the Waning Moon

Do you remember that Energizing Flow Yoga video I shared in June?

The video I am sharing today is perfect to do after or on the days in between for a complete yoga practice. I also love this sequence during the waning moon phase that we are currently in.

So perfect for lazy summer days or under the moon!

Always check with your doctor before practicing yoga.

The most important thing is to listen to your body. You are your best teacher and I am simply your guide.

BENEFITS OF GENTLE YOGA:

  • Relieves stress
  • Increases flexibility
  • Calms the mind
  • Lubricates joints
  • Keeps organs healthy
  • Develops intuition
  • Helps with mindfulness

There are a ton more benefits too! Practice this and let me know how you feel after!!!!

If you really like this, I would recommend doing it 2 to 3 days a week. It is also gentle enough to be a daily practice.

This is a beautiful way to open up to your intuition and increase your trust in your self.

Energizing Yoga For The Waxing Moon

I love quick ways to get energized and I love ways to tune into the energy of the moon. This sequence quickly warms you up and helps you release any old junk you are holding onto.

This sequence is perfect to do during the waxing phase of the moon when the moon is growing.

You might like to have 2 yoga blocks to rest your hands on during the lunge poses if you are feeling tight. Always check with your doctor before practicing yoga.

The most important thing is to listen to your body. You can push yourself but you do not want to be in pain at any time. You are your best teacher and I am simply your guide.

Benefits of Flow Yoga:

  • Increased metabolism
  • Releases toxins
  • Helps focus the mind
  • Releases tightness and tension
  • Increases flexibility
  • Builds muscle
  • Improves lung capacity

There are a ton more benefits too! One of the reasons I practice this is to remove blocks to my intuition. You should feel like a clear channel after this session.

Practice this and let me know how you feel after!!!!

If you really like this, I would recommend doing it 2 to 3 days a week.
