October Vibrations

Welcome to October! I am trying something new that I hope you will love. Curl up with a cup of tea or a glass of wine and get into the vibrations of October.

October At-A-Glance:

  • October Quote
  • October Pallete
  • October 5th: New Online Course Launches!
  • Waxing Moon Activity: Shift Your Altar To Halloween + Autumn
  • Dance Under the Full Moon on October 9th!

  • October 25th is a New Moon in Scorpio

While the above quote doesn’t quite ring true here in Arizona, I still love this time of year. Allowing ourselves to live seasonally helps get us into the flow of life. When we allow things to end, it creates space for new beginnings. I hope you keep reading to discover fun ways to get into the energy and vibration of October. Anytime you are feeling a little lost, read that quote above again, go spend time in nature, plan an adventure and allow yourself to believe in miracles!

October Palette

Don’t you just love to change your wardrobe and decor once fall arrives? Some of my favorite colors this time of year are Rust, Olive Green, Black, and Mustard Yellow.

Take a look at what you have for this fall and be open to bringing in and embodying the energy associated with the colors. Notice how the colors make you feel. Choose the ones that make you feel really, really, good. You can find the energy of more colors in my book, Tend To Your Vibration, or look at the colors you have and notice how they make you feel. Black might make you feel confident, Purple might make you feel witchy, and Orange might make you feel playful.

I watch Annie Hall every autumn and love the blacks, olive greens, greys, and khaki colors (and, of course, plaid!) that Diane Keaton and Carol Kane wear. I just got these olive green pants and am on the lookout for the perfect black ballet top and soft v-neck grey sweater. Do you have favorite movies to watch this time of year?

Waxing Moon Activity: Shift Your Altar To Halloween + Autumn:

The moon is in the waxing phase until the full moon on the 9th. So this is the perfect time to gather some Halloween decorations and autumn-related supplies to place on your altar. If you like, you can clear off your whole altar and start fresh. Otherwise, move your altar items around to accommodate your autumn-themed pieces.

Some examples would be:

  • Changing the candles to orange, black, or purple.
  • Adding small pumpkins and gourds or jack-o-lanterns.
  • Placing crystals that are orange and black.
  • Adding scented candles or grounding essential oils to your diffuser like Cedarwood or Pumpkin Spice.
  • Burning loose incense like Mugwort.
  • Pulling tarot or oracle cards related to the season to display and meditate on.

Have fun with this!

You want this to be a place you will sit in front of and feel connected to the season.

Dance Under the Full Moon on October 9th!

One of my favorite things to do on the full moon is dancing in its silvery light. I created an Autumn Playlist so I can do just that. It is also perfect for just chilling out, taking a bath, gathering with friends, or spending time at your altar. Enjoy!

  • Harvest Moon – Neil Young

October 17: Tend To Your Vibration Online Course Starts!

I hope you join me! More details and special pricing coming your way on October 5th!

Waning Moon Ritual – Rituals for your Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Broom

Do you buy cinnamon brooms this time each year? One of the most popular posts on my website is about creating rituals with the ones I usually get at Trader Joe’s. I just saw they have them at Sprouts too. I love putting the large one outside and the mini one in the kitchen.

The moon is waning from after the full moon until the next new moon on the 25th. Since the waning moon is all about releasing it is the perfect time to sweep some negative energy out of your home. Find fun ways to do this here: RITUALS FOR YOUR TRADER JOE’S CINNAMON BROOM.

October 25th is a New Moon in Scorpio

Tuesday, October 25th is a new moon in Scorpio which is a Water sign that is often associated with intensity, magnetism, mystery, shadow-side, loyalty, sexiness, possessiveness, power, and bravery.

I created a card spread to help you bring the positive aspects of this sign into your life. Check it out here: Scorpio New Moon Card Spread & Ritual

If tarot or oracle cards are not your thing, then try this is more of an intuitive journal challenge.

October 31st is Halloween!

Do you know the origin of the jack-o’-lantern? The History Channel shares How Jack O’Lanterns Originated in Irish Myth, “In Ireland and Scotland, people began to make their own versions of Jack’s lanterns by carving scary faces into turnips or potatoes and placing them into windows or near doors to frighten away Stingy Jack and other wandering evil spirits.”

I love the idea of putting out jack-o’-lanterns with the intention of protecting your home from negative energy.

Embrace The Mystery

I always feel like this time of year invites us to embrace the mystery that is life. The more we learn, the more we are reminded of much we don’t know. This feeling can be unsettling and that is why I am inviting you to embrace the mystery, dance with the mystery, surrender to the mystery, play with the mystery, and enter into the mystery.

If all of the rituals and suggestions above seem overwhelming, then maybe you are being called to slow down this month. Simply spend time noticing the change of seasons and be gentle with yourself.

Feel free to pick and choose how you want to engage in the vibrations of October. Be open to opportunities that show up in your life to deepen your connection to this season and to yourself.

When it comes to practicing your spirituality, I encourage you to listen to your intuition. In addition to everything above, I love finding things my Irish ancestors might have done seasonally and bringing them into my life. I was also raised Catholic and enjoy connecting with the saints, like getting our pug, Leo, blessed in honor of St. Francis of Assisi at the beginning of October.

I believe our practices will always look different. I truly enjoy sharing what has worked for me in hopes that it helps you create a more loving relationship with yourself and the world around you. You deserve it.

I used to worry about how people would judge my spiritual practice. I worried that some would judge that I even have one. I worried that others would judge that it is not inline enough with a specific religion or idealogy.

The concept of embracing the mystery has allowed me to not worry about what others think anymore in regards to my spirituality and its been a beautiful gift to myself.

I hope everything I shared this month helps you embrace the mystery that is life and connects you with a deeper sense of self.

Embrace the mystery. All the mess, all the magic, and everything in between.

Magical Front Door Cleanse

Try this Magical Front Door Cleanse if you want to shift the energy of your home.

Get a broom, a bucket of water, a rag, & an essential oil that has qualities you want to bring about.

Sweep from the inside out with the intention of sweeping away any stuck or challenging energy in your home.

Fill your bucket with warm water & add about 10 drops of your essential oil.

Standing over the bucket with your eyes closed, imagine drawing energy up from the earth through your feet and root chakra. Then imagine drawing energy down from the divine through the crown of your head.

Imagine this as light. Maybe it’s golden or rainbow or sparkly.

Imagine that light meets at your heart, moves down your arms & out of your hands. Face your palms at the bucket of water & imagine it being filled with this light.

Empower the water to be infused with the energy of the oil you chose.

I chose Believe oil by Young Living.

Example:

Believe: May this water be infused with the energy to help everyone who lives here & enters here move past emotional setbacks and barriers to reach true, unlimited potential.

Lavender: May this water be infused with the energy to help everyone who lives here & enters here experience a sense of calmness & peace.

Peppermint: May this water be infused with the energy to help everyone who lives here & enters here feel a profound sense of clarity & the energy to move towards their dreams.

Grapefruit: May this water be infused with the energy to help everyone who lives here & enters here feel a sense of renewed energy to change their habits in positive ways.

Then clean your front door/screen/both.

When you are done, repeat the empowerment part with your palms facing your front door.

Say: May everyone who lives here and enters here ______.

Dump the water with the intention of releasing anything standing in your way of embracing the energy you just set for your entryway.

Enjoy this new sparkly feeling of cleanliness & positive energy!

Repeat as needed.

Ritual For Anxiety

Something I’ve been doing in 2022 when I am feeling anxious or overwhelmed about situations and people I can’t control is lighting a candle for them.

Sometimes I even write a little message on a piece of paper and place it under the wax.

Did you know that you can pull tea lights out of their containers?

I cut little strips of paper, write down an intention or request, fold it up, place it in the tin, place the candle back on top, then I light the candle while thinking or saying my intention. (See photo above)

Example: Archangel Michael and Metatron, please watch over _______. Thank you.

I tend to say more than I write like, “Archangel Michael, can you please protect _______ from lower energies and Archangel Metatron, can you please nurture _______’s sensitive nature. Thank you.”

I have found that when I do this, it lessens my anxiety and allows me to be more open to see solutions or handle situations with a bit more calm.

You can also pick candles based on their colors or chakra association too. I share in the photos below info about Blue and the Throat chakra from my book, Tend To Your Vibration.

You don’t have to have any spiritual beliefs to do this either. You can ask the Universe, ancestors, or Mother Nature for help or simply light the candle as a way of easing your anxiety or worry.

What matters most are your thoughts and energy.

I have already grown so much this year and this ritual for anxiety has helped me so much that I wanted to share it with you too.

Enjoy!

p.s. I like to ask Archangel Michael to protect, clear, and shield myself and my loved ones. Archangel Metatron is mentioned in the Talmud and some people believe is helpful with parenting sensitive children.

Candle Gazing: Gift Yourself A Moment of Peace

I’m popping in to share a quick and simple way to give yourself a moment of peace this holiday season.

It’s called Candle Gazing and it is a lesson from Tend To Your Vibration.

  • Light a taper candle and have it about a foot in front of you, preferably at eye level.
  • Gaze at the candle for one minute.
  • Close your eyes and imagine the flame at your third eye (the spot between your eyebrows) for two minutes.
  • Cup your hands over your eyes and take a few breaths.

That’s it!

This activity helps increase feelings of oneness with the universe and reduces feelings of separation.

I have been so busy lately and absolutely loving every second but my life flows better when I take these small moments so tend to my vibration.

I did this the other day and just love how fast I can create a sense of calm.

If you want to do this right now, I made a one-minute video of my candle flame for you to gaze at, and then you can set a timer for two minutes to close your eyes after or simply try to keep them closed longer than you gazed at the candle.

I like to use the Insight Timer app on my phone to create an interval timer so I don’t have to count or worry about messing with my phone during this short meditation. You simply set a 3-minute timer with an interval bell at one minute and an ending bell.

All the lessons in my Tend To Your Vibration guidebook help give you a moment of peace so you can enjoy life and allow more beautiful things to come into your experience.

Enjoy!

Introducing: Tend To Your Vibration – a guidebook

Tend To Your Vibration a guidebook

Take a moment and sit up tall, do some shoulder rolls, and take some deep breaths through your nose. Now imagine white light all around you and envision an animal next to you as your guide. Finish by saying something nice to yourself and smile.

Notice how you feel. Hopefully, you feel a little bit better than you did before. Enjoy these feelings. This is an example of tending to your vibration.

Your vibration is your emotional energy. Your vibration changes depending on how you feel and what you are focusing on. Your vibration is high when you are feeling good and trusting that life is working out for you. Your vibration is low when you are criticizing yourself and feeling stuck.

Your emotional energy acts as a magnet that draws more of what you are feeling into your life. Your vibration is created by you, your thoughts, how you feel physically, and what you spend time focusing on.

Basically, your thoughts create your emotions which create your vibration. When you tend to your vibration, you can begin to truly enjoy each moment while creating a life you love.

The word “tend” means to care for, look after, or give one’s attention to. This guidebook will help you tend to your emotions, environment, and vibration like you would a garden or your home. You will do this using nature, breath, thoughts, imagination, and energy.

The techniques shared are simple ways to help you enjoy life more and draw more things to enjoy into your life. They are a mix of my creations, ancient techniques from my yogic studies, tried and true life coaching exercises, along with energy work from my experience as an intuitive mentor.

You will become a magnet for your desires.

Tending to your vibration looks different for everyone. I share what has worked for me. Along the way, you will discover what works for you. All of it will help you become a more authentic version of yourself.

You will learn how to empower yourself and shift your energy to a higher vibration. If you commit to working on the tips and exercises, you will feel a massive positive shift in the flow and experience of your life.

This work will help you enjoy life more and feel more confident in the choices you make. I am not saying you won’t have bad days. It’s important to feel all of your feelings.

The goal of the work I am sharing is to help you learn how to handle the ups and downs of life with more grace and ease. You will bounce back quicker and learn to catch yourself going negative faster.

You will learn how to tune out the world around you and tune into your inner wisdom. You will have the resources to change your mood, your thoughts, your breath, and your life.

Your life might change, or you might change how you look at your life. Or both! Either way, you will feel empowered by the work you do and happy that you have committed to bringing positive change into your life.

Take a moment and thank yourself for taking this time for yourself.

You might want to create a special place in which to do this work. This could be a room, a chair, a nook. Maybe just a basket or tray that will contain the tools you want around you as you work through this guide like candles, matches, incense, essential oils, etc. Make it yours.

You might like to get a journal to write down your reflections and responses or use the printable worksheets I created for you by visiting the Book Bonus section on my website.

There is a positive affirmation at the end of each lesson that you might like to incorporate into your life or possibly repeat when you are practicing the lessons. Notice the ones that make you feel really good and repeat them often.

Have fun with this guide! Think of it as a toolbox you can use to help you get unstuck, pumped up, relaxed, goal-oriented, and so on.

When you are first starting, you might like to keep your efforts private or share them with the world. Honor your feelings around how you share the time you take for yourself.

You will have different needs at different times, and this guide will feel like a comforting space to come back to help you tune in and remember who you really are.

Get ready! I hope you enjoy this journey of creating positive shifts and receiving abundance in every area of your life by tending to your vibration.

You are worthy of enjoying life, feeling good, and manifesting your dreams!

xo, Kerry
