How to make your own DIY oracle cards!

Using oracles cards can change your life in so many positive ways!

The amount of time I spent fretting and worrying about things lessened once I started using oracle cards.

I love using them so much that I created printable ones to correspond with all of the tools and techniques in my Free Spirit Guidebook as a bonus.

You might not know this but you have a lot of the answers that you are looking for.

You just need to slow down long enough to listen. Not always an easy task and that is why oracle cards can help.

Creating your own deck can help you create cards that have a more personal meaning to you. They are also fun to use in readings with other decks too.

In this video, I share how to make DIY cards based on how you would make a vision board.

When I did this, I matched up colors and vibes and really love how the final cards turned out. You can see them below.

DIY Oracle Card Supplies:

  • magazines
  • glue sticks or tape
  • index cards
  • scissors
  • washi tape (optional)
  • mod podge (optional)
  • laminating machine (optional)

You will start out cutting out pictures, patterns, and colors. Then you will focus on words or phrases like

“Live your best life.”

“Dive in.”

“You can do anything.”

Cut everything out first and then start to match color patterns. Once you have them grouped together you can begin to glue them to the cards.

To finish, you might like to cover them with Mod Podge or laminate them.

How to use your Oracle Cards

  • Sit up tall
  • Hold them in front of your heart
  • Take some deep breaths
  • Call on your guides
  • Optional: Say: “Guides of the highest frequency, what do I need to know right now?”
  • Imagine the guidance coming to you or from within you
  • Shuffle the cards
  • Pick a card
  • Intuitively interpret the card
  • See how you can bring it into your life
  • Act on it

That is how you make your own amazing, personal oracle card experience.

A Chant for Global Well Being: Love, Happiness, Peace, and Freedom – Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

The perfect chant for when you are feeling overwhelmed by the news or helpless about the state of the world or in your life.

If you are feeling at a loss and want to put some love and positivity out into the world then this is the perfect chant.

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

“May all beings be happy and free and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to the happiness and freedom for all.”

Amazing, right?!

If you are thinking, “What the heck can a chant do for me or the world?” I want you to try it first and then notice how it shifts you in positive ways.

We are all vibrating. We are all energy.

It’s okay to feel sad or upset or lost. Being aware that you are feeling these types of feelings and what is causing them is very positive.

There are tools and techniques out there for you to create positive change. This is one of them. I encourage you to try it.


This is a Sanskrit chant and one of the things that I really like about chanting in a different language is that there is no attachment to the words or preconceived notions surrounding them.

This leaves just the meaning of the words and the vibration that goes out into the world that is just positive and loving.

Let’s send peace and love out into the world together!


Below are two of my favorite recordings of this chant.

The first one is by Wah!. It is shorter and includes some additional lyrics beyond the chant that you can simply listen to in-between chanting lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu.

The second one is by Russil Paul and is longer. You can really get into this one and make it a meditation too.

What makes you feel FREE?

Do you know what makes you feel FREE? 

Which things in your life, which actions that you take, which thoughts that you think are the ones that help you feel free and help you feel good?

When things are flowing easily in your life, it is usually because you are tapped into feeling good and feeling free.

Self-awareness can help you get into this state on a regular basis.

As I was writing the Free Spirit Guidebook, I understood that each lesson was a way for people to go from feeling negative or stuck to feeling positive and in the flow.

In addition to the lessons I shared in the book, there are things in my daily life that help me get into this feeling.

Being aware of them and also being aware of the times when I am not practicing them has changed my life.

I want you to gift yourself with this awareness so you can consistently get into a higher vibration when you notice that you are feeling blah or lost.

To get you in the right frame of mind you might like to do some breathing exercises and possibly this simple yoga sequence to help clear your aura

Doing both will help you release other people’s negative energy that you might have picked up lately.

Okay, once you are ready, let your answers flow.

Here are mine:

I feel free when I go for walks, laugh with my children, go on a date night with my husband, tidy up my house, shower, sing, dance, sit by the fire, swim, listen to the ocean, watch birds fly, listen to my cats purr, pet my cat, watch my children sleep, meditate, envision my goals coming true, exercise, relax in savasana, read a good book, listen to a good book, chat with friends, build something with my family, ride bikes with my family, take deep breaths, talk to God, angels, Bear, my higher self, my animal guides and my runners, when I clear my chakras, when I work with my crystals, when I focus on saying positive things about myself, when I have sex, after I have sex, wear pajamas I love, wear clothes that fit me and make me feel fabulous, when I declutter, when I put laundry away, when we are too busy to clean, when I look at my Free Spirit Guidebook, when I do the lessons in my Guidebook, when I share and connect with people online, when I meet other free spirits, teach others, share with others, am not giving a damn what others think, when I am donating to causes that are helping others and mother earth, when I compost, when I buy from companies that care about the environment, when I gaze at the stars, when I gaze at the moon, when I write, when I get ideas for my next book, when I am cozy in my bed, when I smell flowers.

I am not done and you won’t be done right away either. Consider having this list somewhere where you can easily add to it. Also, consider having it somewhere where you can be reminded to do these things.

Notice how some of mine are so simple. I understand that life can get crazy, and busy and overwhelming. That is why it is nice for you to remember that smelling flowers or focusing on your breath make you feel good. 

When you are aware of these things then you make sure you are doing them everyday even if it is just one of them.

This will raise your vibration and when you do the the universe responds by bringing you more things that match that vibration.
